Update July 2009: I’ve taken down most of the pages in this section as they were seriously out of date. Will look at updating them over the summer
The Inscription page on Wowhead is a good starting point, but the design doesn’t really lend itself to overviews at the moment

Decipher
(not sure if this made the cut, may appear in Wrath) Believed to be another secondary skill it allows the deciphering of tomes, books, and scrolls. No one seems to be very sure what it does yet, possibly a version of lockpicking, mobs will drop tomes and you will have to find a scribe to reveal it’s contents, at this point they could contain anything from random trade recipes to bits of lore or even item enchants.
Recipes
Own page created for these, its a simple list by skill level needed. Useful for inscribers wanting to know when they can make what but not the most user friendly way to look for a specific recipe. Wowhead is much better at that, but some of the reagents listed there are still placeholders
Runewords
Doesn’t seem to have made it to live
It looks as though Scribes will be able to make temporary armor enchantments, the only one identified so far is Runeword of Minor Magic adding +3 spellpower to a chest slot for 60 minutes. The reagents and scribe level needed to create this are unknown, as is whether it’s a self buff or a tradable one.
Runes of Power
It appears that the scribe will be able to create runes that work something like engineerings sticks of dynamite . Only one has been found so far Runic Blast, blasting an enemy for 24 to 30 Arcane damage, and consuming a vial of ivory ink in the process. It has a level 5 requirement against it and Ivory Ink is a early skill so it’s possible that like dynamite sticks there will be more powerful versions as you level th skill. At the moment there’s no cd on Runic Blast, unlike dynamite which has a 1 min CD. I’d expect that to change before Wotlk goes live. Though the possibility of chucking vials of ink at a boss when I’m low on mana sounds like fun.
Tarot Cards
At level 100 Scribes can craft a BOE ‘mysterious tarot’. This will create a random card of rogues. You need to combine the cards Ace through to Five to create a pack which then can be handed in at Darkmoon Faire or to gypsies hanging out in taverns (the gypsy option is new to Wotlk and should work for any Tarot deck not just the Rogue deck) The rewards for this deck are one of three low level BOP green items with a random enchant, requiring level 10 to wear. Given the level of inscription to create the cards the reward seem somewhat weak.
There has been a second deck spotted “Darkmoon Swords Deck” made by creating “Bold Tarot” but so far the level needed and the reward it gives hasn’t been confirmed.

Regarding Tarots…
If the reward is a helm or a sholder you might be reporting this as an OP reward.

The rogue rewards? they’re chest items, or were, may well change by live and yes level 10 helm or shoulder would be good
